I Sleep with the Fan On

So a guy was murdered like 100 feet from my door the other day. Hows that for Parkdaley occurence. Poor ole Christopher White got shot in the head by some other cracky in the notable crack den on the corner of Elm Grove and King street this past Sunday morning.

Now dont be scared mom, it was only 1 of 3 murders that happened all over Toronto on Sunday morning so really no one is safe; or are they?

The funny thing about having a murder in your locality is how immediate the whole neighbourhood cleans up. Theres been cops all over the place this week, forensic trucks, diabetic horse cops, and I think I even saw David Caruso at one point combing the neighbourhood.

One thing in the wake of Christopher White's death is the complete lack of local crazies who would normally reside around the very obvious crack den. Its like Whitby all over again, calm cool, collected working types walking about, sharing directions, and smelling flowers. My neighbour even gave me a tomato yesterday that he grew all himself. Hurray a tomacco from inner city Toronto.

I am all for the management of social impurities, and in many ways support the concept of safe haven's for those addicted to the worst of life's vices. But when it gets dirty, you start to become uneasy and though the neighbourhood now appears, for the time being, to be much safer, Ill still be weilding homemade numbchucks everytime i go out for a smoke.

you can read the article here: Murder doesn't surprise.

who better to report on a crazy cracky murder than the Toronto Sun.
