I watch so much futebol right now its unhealthy. In fact, I am watching it right now. I watched it two hours ago, and I will be watching it in two hours. The novelty of working from home is that soccer can always be on in the background. I used to listen to music, but I think when the world cup is over I will download songs of people chanting and random horns sounding off. I wont feel comfortable unless I hear the population of England singing "Long Live the Queen" and then cheering in the background.

I dont want to think about that time though, I have become somewhat attached to the world game. I cheer for Ghana, not because of my heritage but because I find African nations cool, and the community radio station I listen to has been playing a lot of African beats lately and I like it. I have now realized that I do not have any real embedded heritage. I guess I should say, go France go -- EANAULT.

You know what I like about Canada; Its the only country where you will see two of those little nationality flags on the same car. No other nation would have a family mini van sporting England for the Dad on the driver side, and Trinidad on the passenger side for the mum. I saw that exact scenario yesterday, actually they were driving a mazda.

You know what's ironic; multiculturalism is a prize I wish all nations would adopt on the globe, yet that can never happen because multiculturalism needs to have seperate cultures to reference in order to be multicultural. Germans need to be reminded that there german, and Trinidadians need to be reminded that they are trinidadian. Ahh well, at least I get to live where it can apply, so yeah.

and now back to the game.
